PlayStation is Still Planning for More Acquisitions in the Future

With the PS5 already flying off of the proverbial shelf, information technology doesn't sound equally though Sony volition be resting on its honor when information technology comes to growing in the upcoming generation.

In a new chat with Reuters, PlayStation President Jim Ryan said that the company is yet looking to abound over time in the form of various mergers or acquisitions. Ryan specified that it would exist looking to grow in an organic manner "where nosotros can bolster our in-business firm adequacy with selective One thousand&A that might be possible."

In recent years, Sony has continued to express that it has a desire to grow through acquisitions, just it hasn't made as many moves compared the company'due south closest competitor in Microsoft. The newest studio to join Sony'southward larger PlayStation Studios label has been that of Insomniac Games, which was purchased in 2022.
